The procedure for reviewing scientific articles submitted for publication in the Annals of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (previously Annals of Agricultural Sciences, Series G – Economics of Agriculture)

  1. Submitting the article to the Editorial Annals of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development is equivalent to the authors expressing their approval for initiating the reviewing procedure.
  2. The preliminary assessment of the article and choice of review is made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with subject Editors.
  3. The article is forwarded to the designated Reviewer by the Secretary of Annals together with a peer review scheme (attachment 1) in accordance with good practice in peer review procedures (double-blind review process / (the reviewer does not know the surname of the Author / Publication Authors, the Author / Authors do not know the surname of the Reviewer).
  4. The Review shall be in writing (electronic versions are acceptable) and is stored in the Annals’s documents. A form of the review is posted on the Annals’s website.
  5. A copy of the review is submitted to the Author/Author’s by the Secretary of the Annals. (without revealing the reviewer’s name) The Author/Authors are obliged to respond to the comments made in the review and to correct the article if instructed to do so by the Reviewer. In the case of dispute another Reviewer shall be appointed.
  6. After submitting the corrected article to the editorial it is proofread by the language Editor. Next it is prepared for printing. The Annals’s secretaries and publishing editors are responsible for this. The final decision concerning including the article in the Annals is made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the content editor.
  7. The names of all Reviewers (without indicating the titles of their reviewed articles) are published in the Annals’s notebook.
